Get yourself a really good light for your car's trunk / luggage compartment. The joint strip is mounted in the slot in the roof of the luggage compartment, and is well protected against damage from suitcases and other large objects. The light from the led strip is very good compared to the original lamps.

Easily installed in about 10 minutes by disconnecting one lamp in the trunk - we recommend disconnecting the lamp on the passenger side - and plugging in the connector from the original light to the led strip. No cutting of cables or soldering, that is, and no need for tools. The joint strip itself is glued with the strong double-sided tape that comes with it. The cable is hidden behind the carpet, and after installation there are no loose cables and lo and behold - only a very well-lit luggage compartment.
