OTA update ALC lightning adapter
Update OTA and check settings via Wi-Fi
NB! This only applies to ALC with a serial number newer/higher than s/n 22.45.120. The function is considered BETA for the time being - so changes to settings and updates are done at your own risk if you have not received a specific message from us to update your ALC.
IMPORTANT information as of 14.06.2025!
If you have updated your Tesla to SW 2025.20.XX (launched mid-June 2025), ALC will not work without updating.
Latest firmware version as of 26.06.25:
- 25.20.4 (compatible with Tesla SW: 2025.20.XX) starting with serial number 2245120 - fix for TMY Juniper where Matrix setting was set to NEW.
Newer ALCs have built-in Wi-Fi, and you can thus connect with, for example, a PC to check the status of the settings, and change some of these.
These ALCs can also be updated OTA over wifi, but this should not be done without first contacting us to ensure you are not updating to a version that is not compatible with your car.
To activate wifi on an ALC of this version - turn off all lights on the car, and flash the light horn 3 times. Wifi will then be active on ALC for 1 minute. If this does not work, disconnect the original lamp connector from the Y-splitter to the ALC, leave the ALC without power for 10 seconds before reconnecting.
NB! Activation of the wifi in the ALC is subject to the ALC's firmware version:
- FW 22.22.22 - WiFi can only be activated with 3x flashing with the light horn with all lights turned OFF from the screen
- FW 22.22.27 - TM3/Y WiFi will start and be active for 1 minute after you start the car (lights on the car must be on). Does not apply for TMS/X
- FW 22.22.32or higher - WiFi will start and be active for 1 minute after you start the car (lights on the car must be on) on all models.
